It Is Finished

The Greek word, "tetelestai", is spoken by Jesus in John 19:30 as His last words, "it is finished", before He gave up His spirit on the cross. There are papyrus tax receipts with this word stamped on them meaning "paid in full." The wages of our sin is death, but Jesus paid our debt in full and conquered death by rising on the third day.
